HR Strategy Seminar for Startups and Small Businesses

Join TriBridge Partners and HR Strategy Group for our Human Resource (HR) Strategy seminar, catered for startups and small businesses. During this 90-minute program, we’ll explore:
- The components of a comprehensive benefits package based on level of company growth (typical insurance plans, complimentary benefits, implementation, and costs)
- New Hire Reporting and Worker’s Compensation (payroll, exempt and non-exempt employee designations, employee or independent contractor definitions, use of Comp Time or Overtime)
- The Three Foundations of Human Resources (employment handbooks, positions descriptions, and performance appraisals)

Director of Business Development
Lisa is Director of Business Development on the Stakeholder Relations Team at TriBridge Partners. In this role, Lisa is works in our local communities to build lasting relationships with service providers and with current and future clients of TriBridge Partners. She does this by bringing solutions and ideas of merit to the marketplace through education and awareness.
Principal and Senior Consultant
Paul is the Founding Principal of TriBridge Partners. He is also on the Board of Directors and is a member of the Executive Committee where he is responsible for company oversight and strategic planning. Paul serves as the Director of the TriBridge Stakeholder Relations Team by working with existing and future TriBridge clients and leading a team of specialists to assist with strategic planning and guidance with employee benefits and retirement programs, HR outsourcing projects, HR technology projects, business continuation, executive/selective benefit planning, and individual insurance planning.

Amy Polefrone, MPA, SPHR, CVR
Amy is an experienced leader with more than 25 years of experience in human resources. Amy has extensive experience working with clients in nonprofits, high tech startups, telecommunications, information technology, insurance, education and other small business sectors. She focuses on executive HR management consultations with the CEOs and CFOs at the organizations she serves. Amy is active in the Maryland business community and is a member of the BWI Business Partnership, Maryland Nonprofits, Howard Chamber of Commerce, and the Howard Tech Council. Amy is pleased to serve as an EnCorps Mentor for the Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship, providing HR advice to startup companies in Maryland. She is the Secretary of the Board for the Howard County Human Resources Society and is the past chair of Entrepreneur’s Exchange in Annapolis, Maryland. Amy regularly speaks to industry groups about the importance of sound HR fundamentals and best practices in business operations.
Donna Miracle-Canuel, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
Senior Human Resources Consultant
Donna is an experienced HR leader with more than 20 years of experience in management and human resources. Prior to joining the HR Strategy Group, Donna held HR management positions at a variety of small and mid-size businesses and worked as an Employee Relations Manager with Coca-Cola Enterprises. Donna is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and holds the Senior Professional in Human Resource Resources (SPHR) designation, the highest designation available to HR professionals.
