Our Mission

This first-of-its-kind national initiative supports the success of veteran, service member, and military spouse-owned businesses by connecting them with entrepreneurial education and training, small business resources and solutions, and commerce and supplier opportunities.

The Coalition advocates for and supports businesses operated by the greater military and veteran community, including both business-to-business and business-to-consumer models.

Why the Coalition?

Frank Bisignano, Chairman and CEO of First Data, introduces the Coalition for Veteran Owned Business.

Of the more than 27 million Small Businesses in the U.S., more than 2.5 million (9 percent) are veteran owned (SBA)

Veteran businesses employ more than 5.8 million people in the U.S. (SBA)

Veteran owned businesses generate more than $1.2 trillion in sales per year (SBA)

Join a national platform to support military spouse and veteran-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, and suppliers.

Coalition for Veteran Owned Business

The IVMF, in partnership with Inc. Magazine, recognized the nation’s 50 fastest-growing veteran-owned businesses in the U.S. last night during our #VeteranEDGE conference. We also had the honor of having retired Col. Jack Jacobs, Medal of Honor recipient, as our keynote speaker - who shared his story and reinforced the message of how employers must make it a priority to hire veterans because they have the discipline and leadership skills to take on anything.

Congratulations to all of our #Vet50 honorees! Inc. 5000

Coalition for Veteran Owned Business

Just wrapped up the first day of #VeteranEDGE! It was a jam-packed day full of panel discussions and classes on supplier diversity and procurement for 200+ veteran entrepreneurs. Thanks to our sponsors for making this weekend possible: First Data, Walmart, PepsiCo, Disabled American Veterans, and Travelers Insurance.

We also have Larry Broughton and David Braun of Yoogozi here hosting the Acceleration Challenge, a program that includes 10 select Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV) grads to come together to work on their businesses in a mastermind session — all thanks to the D’Aniello Family Foundation!

It’s great seeing so many IVMF grads and new faces, too. Now off to a night of networking & making connections! 🤝
